This guide is made for Those who have never done tinker's construct before or don't remember how it works and want a refresher.

Starting out you will need 3 blocks: a Stencil Table, a Part Builder, and a Tool Station.

Once you have all of these, its time to make a blank pattern

{"image":"blankpattern.png", "scale":-1}

Now that you have a blank pattern, put the blank pattern in the stencil table

{"image":"stencil1.png", "scale":-1}

Once you have done that, you can choose a pattern type. To choose a pattern, click the pattern you want to make.

First, make a tool rod pattern. The tool rod pattern is the top left most pattern.

Pull the tool rod pattern out of the stencil table. Before moving on, you are going to want to also make a pickaxe head and a tool binding pattern.

{"image":"patterns.png", "scale":-1}

take the patterns to the part builder also make sure to grab some extra wood planks. Put the tool binding stencil and a wood plank in the part builder as shown below

Pull out the stick and wooden tool binding. Next put the tool rod pattern and the stick you got in the part builder as shown below

Lastly, we need to make a pickaxe head, however if you try putting a peice of wood with the pickaxe head like shown below nothing happens.

{"image":"Partbuilder4.png", "scale":-1}

Why is that? It is because Tinker's has been modified to not allow a wooden pickaxe head. If you hold sneak over the pattern, you will see a list of materials that the part can be made of.

{"image":"Partbuilder5.png", "scale":-1}

So instead of using wood for a pickaxe head, we need to pick a material on the list. Looking at the list, it seems easiest to do flint. If you are having trouble getting flint, there is a recipe to make it easier to obtain flint, which is shown below.

Now that you have flint now try making a pickaxe head out of flint.

{"image":"Partbuilder6.png", "scale":-1}

Take the parts you have gathered to the tool station

{"image":"toolstation1.png", "scale":-1}

Select the pickaxe option on the left

{"image":"toolstation2.png", "scale":-1}

Now put the parts into the tool station as shown below

{"image":"toolstation3.png", "scale":-1}

Before you grab your pickaxe, you can change the name of your tool by typing a name for it in the bar like shown below.

Now that you have had a chance to rename your tool, pull the pickaxe out of the tool station. You have created your first pickaxe in Tinker's Construct!
